I am not sure how many people still check my blog. I am not very good at updating it. But I have had some requests to update (Heather), so here you go! Since my last post we welcomed Ellie Jo into our family. She was born on April 7. She is such a great baby and has a very sweet smile. Avree turned 2! We went to the zoo for her birthday. We had an ice cream party with family. A few things about Avree...
* She still loves her blankie.
* She is learning to talk, she was a slow starter but is learning new words almost daily.
* Some of her favorite words are; ball, bubbles, tubby, juice, daddy, Dora, Uh oh,
* She is a great big sister.
* She likes to share.
* She is not a big eater. At her 2 year check she was only in the 3rd percentile in weight.
* She still loves Mickey, but has a new love for Dora.
* She is a very sweet girl and likes to give hugs and kisses.
* Altough she is very sweet, she can throw a good tantrum. She will get mad about something and either throw something or lay down very slowly wherever she is at (the store, the middle of the road)
* When she knows she is in trouble she will come give me a hug, say "uh oh" with big alligator tears in her eyes and then give you a smile that will melt your heart.
We sure love our little girls and could not be happier!

Time sure is flying by! We only have about 3 more weeks until our new bundle of joy will enter into our family. We are excited, nervous, anxious about this new little baby. We are so blessed to have one child and so we fill extremely blessed to add another! (This picture is from December, but it was the only one I had on the computer.) Avree has no idea what is about to happen to our little family. It will take some time, but she is so sweet and will be a great big sister.

I know that it has been a LONG time since I have updated this blog. What have we been up to? Well... Avree is now 17 months. She is a wild woman! She loves to be independent, and thinks that everything should go EXACTLY the way she wants! But I have to say that I do love that about her. That just makes her who she is. For those of you that do not know we are expecting baby #2 in early April. We are excited. I am a little nervous about having the 2 kids, but everyone reassures me that it will be fine! We found out a few weeks ago that it is another girl. Shane is still in a little bit of denial, but is coming to terms with it. We have our targeted ultrasound in a couple of weeks and he thinks that they will tell us that it is a boy... But I keep telling him not to get his hopes up. We love our little girl now, so why not add another!

1 Years Old!

Yesterday was Avree's 1st birthday. We cannot believe that 1 year has already passed by. If any of you know me well, you know that I cry about almost everything. Yesterday morning I went into her room while she was still sleeping, and just started to cry. I sometimes wonder how I got so lucky in my life. She has truly blessed my life and I am very proud to be her mom! Here are some fun facts about our sweet Avree:

* She LOVES her blanket. Her blanket has silk around the edges and she sucks on it when she goes to sleep. If she sees her blanket she has to carry it with her around the house.
* She has been walking now for a couple of months.... and that is basically all she does. She just walks and walks around the house all day. She will occasionally stop and play with something, but mostly she just walks and walks and walks.
* She LOVES watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and now has started to bring me the remote and wants you to change the channel to mickey. If you don't change it, she will get angry.
* If she could, she would be outside all day. We got season passes to Cherry Hill this year and I bet she will just love it.
* She is a Daddy's girl. ( Which I love) I love the bond that her and Shane already have. She really does have the best Daddy in the world.
* She likes to help me load the dishwasher and do the laundry. She now thinks that she can sweep, but she really just makes a bigger mess and just ends up trying to eat everything that was swept into the pile.
* She really enjoys being around kids, no matter what age. She is a little social butterfly.
* She loves to push things. Like her stroller, the lawn mower, the shopping cart, other people's shopping carts...
* She loves to be chased around the house and she loves when you hide and pop out and scare her.
* She loves books. She will see a book and bring to to you so you can read it to her.
* She is not a very good eater. She will eat sometimes, but most of the time she would rather just be playing. That is probably why she is so skinny.
* She has been such a happy girl (knock on wood) She has the best little smile that melts my heart every time.

We recently went to Las Vegas to visit our friends the Lloyds! We had such a great time.... well there were a few minor set backs ( Avree teething, Shane getting strep) that was frustrating. But we really did have a great time. We stayed with out friends for a few days, and then went to visit Shane's sister Jodi and her family in Arizona. I don't have any pictures of that trip on the camera, but Shane has some on his phone I will have to add later. Visiting them was fun! I asked Shane on the way home what his favorite part of the trip was and we both agreed that it was seeing how excited Avree was with her friend Audrey and her cousins. Avree LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! She gets so happy when we turn it on for her. She Loves the hot dog song at the end and will dance to it. It is so funny! She will even be playing and not paying attention, and as soon as that song comes on she looks and the tv with a big smile and starts to dance!

Easter and other happenings!

It's been a while. Avree is now 10 months old. I cannot believe how fast time flies by. She is So much fun. We are really enjoying watching her learn new things. We celebrated her first Easter with an egg hunt at the park, coloring eggs, and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

We took Avree to her first Jazz game the other night. She had so much fun! We went down a little earlier to walk around the gateway and stop by the Planetarium. She is starting to be at a fun age where she is really aware of what is going on around her.

8 Months

I cannot believe that Avree is 8 months old already. Here are a few tid-bits about her.

* She has started crawling.
* She LOVES to walk around while you hold her hands. And has just started to walk fast and LOVES it.
* She loves bath time.
* She HATES getting dressed, getting lotion on, getting her face or nose wiped.
* She has her 2 bottom teeth and the top ones are so close.
* She likes to be out and about and is very concerned with what is going on around her.
* She does not really like her baby food, but loves finger food that she can feed herself.
* Her favorite place to eat is Cafe Rio. (maybe because its her Mom and Dad's favorite)
* She now says Dada, Mama, hi.
* She LOVES her daddy.
We sure love our little girl and the joy that she brings into our lives.

Last week we went up to Alpine WY with Shane's family. It is one of our favorite trips. It is so pretty up there. This year it snowed almost the whole time we were there. Shane was a little disappointed in the snow because there just was not enough yet to snowmobile on. This year has been pretty bad so far for snow. ( I get reminded of it daily. ha ha) We stay up at the Rocking M cabins, they are so cute. (ha ha) They really are cute, that last statement is an inside joke. Each of the cabins are decorated in a different theme. We stayed in the Bear cabin this year and Avree LOVED the bear.

Sh loves her blanket when she is tired. She needs it to go to bed. So cute!

Merry (late) Christmas! I have been such a slacker lately. It has been a crazy past few weeks and I finally feel like things are getting back into the groove. We had a wonderful first Christmas with Avree. She loved all of the paper and boxes that her presents came in. She got spoiled... but what did you really expect. We spent Christmas Eve with Shane's family. My Dad was still in the hospital on Christmas so we spent some time at the hospital. My Dad is home now and doing great. He is still recovering, but getting better. We have some fun snowmobile trips coming up and Shane is so so excited for that, if we could just get some decent snow. Avree is doing great. She is getting her 2 bottom teeth. She can say "Dada." And she just started saying "Hi" Sometimes it sounds like she says "Hi Dad" when she sees Shane. Its so cute.

We recently had some family pictures taken. They were taken by Ashley Thompson, she works with Shane. She did such an awesome job! She is AWESOME if anyone ever needs a photographer. Avree is now 6 and a half months old. She is getting big. She weighs 15.9 lbs and is 27.5 " tall. She is in the 95% in her height. She is such a happy baby and is really starting to laugh all of the time. We are excited for her first Christmas. On a side note for those of you that know or may not know, my Dad is still in the hospital. He has a really horrible case of pneumonia. He is in critical condition on life support, but is showing some signs of improvement. So please keep our family in your prayers.

Avree is now 5 months old! Time has gone so fast. We are loving every minute as a family. Avree is such a happy baby. We had a tough go at first with her, but now she smile all the time. She makes the cutest noises and just yesterday started making this kissing noise. It is so cute. I will try to get it on video, but she just does it at random times. (Des, the picture of me with Avree is for you... yes that is my dirty laundry in the back ground...I know how much you love pictures with messy house in the background. ha ha.)

We love Fall around our house. I love because of the colder weather and the sweaters, jackets, pants, boots that I get to wear. Shane loves fall because that means that winter is right around the corner. One of my favorite things about Halloween is the Webb family party at Marci's house. Ii had our costumes all planned and then learned that the party was the same night as the BYU vs TCU game. So Shane and I went to the game and missed the party. The game was not very exciting and I was sad that we missed the party. Oh well... The other day we carved pumpkins at my parents house. Shane did a good job carving Avree's name into her first pumpkin. Lots of fun memories! Oh and Congrats to my brother Kevin and his wife Lara. They just found out that they are expecting twins!

They will be good friends in the future, but right now it seems that Avree wants nothing to do with Eva.

4 Months

Avree turned 4 months on Sunday! She is getting so big. It is a wonderful experience to watch your child grow and learn. She is rolling over from her back to front and now front to back. She is starting to scoot. She just found her voice the other day and now is making all kinds of noises. She loves to scream really loud and thinks that she is pretty funny. She had her first taste of real food today, if you can call baby rice cereal real food... She ate all of it, so I guess she liked it! She had her 4 month appointment today and is 13lbs 12oz and 26 in long. She is such a fun baby! We could not imagine life without our little one!

Avree had her 2 month dr appointment today. She is a happy, healthy little girl... Well happy, healthy BIG girl. She weighs 12lbs 1oz and is 23 in long. She is in the 90th percentile in both weight and height. The dr said that he thought that she would probably be my height (5'7) when she is older. She did not like the shots at all, but who really does. She is super smiley, which we love! Her smiles just light up her face. We love our girl and are trying to cerish every moment!!

This past weekend we went camping with my family and had Avree's baby blessing on Sunday. It was a busy weekend, but so much fun. We went camping at one of the camperworld camp grounds up by Tremonton. We swam, golfed, and rode the 4-wheelers. It was Avree's first time camping and she did a great job. On Sunday was her baby blessing. She looked so cute in her dress that my mom bought for her. Shane did such a great job giving her the blessing. What a great daddy she has. It was a busy weekend filled with fun and family!!!

We have not been up to too much lately. We have some fun things coming up in the next couple of weeks that we are looking forward to. So anyway... here are some random pictures. Update: Avree is a whole new baby. 2 weeks ago on Sunday, she decided that she would not cry uncontrollably anymore. Ever since that day she has been so good. She cry's like a normal baby. She is smiling all the time. We are so thankful that her little fussy period is over, for now we hope.

Summer has begun!

Summer if here! I have to say that I am a fan of the summer activities, but I hate the heat. I would love for the weather to be 65 all the time. We have had a fun summer so far. Every 4th of July we have a huge Webb family party at Shane's Dad's house. We have a dinner on the 3rd, play some volleyball, watch Centerville's fireworks, and have pizza delivered at midnight and then sleep outside under the stars. ( this year we had to sleep inside because of Avree and the mosquitos.) The next morning we watch the Centerville parade that goes right in front of the house, have a great breakfast, play more volleyball... It is so so much fun. Shane's family has been doing this for a very long time and I am glad to be apart of such a wonderful family tradition. The night of the 4th we go to my parents house for a BBQ and then we go to Kaysville's fireworks. The fireworks there are great!
Update on Avree... She is one month old now, sleeps 3 hours at a time, is doing better on eating, and is just starting to smile( it might be gas, but I am convinced that she smiles at me!) We are loving every minute with her!

3 weeks!

Avree is 3 weeks old now! Time is flying by. Everyday I look at her and notice that she is getting bigger. It makes me sad cause I know she will never be little again, always getting bigger. She is sleeping better now. She wakes up every 3 hours instead of every 2!!! It's progress!! Maybe every week she will add an extra hour... doubtful, but here's to hoping. Here are some pictures from this past week. We will keep the pictures and updates coming.

We sure have been enjoying our little Avree. She is a sweet girl. She is a little fussy, which is no fun, but not too bad. We took Avree to her 2 week appointment the other day. She now weighs 8 lbs 11 oz. She is a good eater. And she is 22 inches long. The dr said that she will probably be about my height ( 5' 7") when she is older.
This week we went on our first walk around the neighborhood. She enjoyed it for a few minutes, but then started to get fussy. This week she also took her first bath. She really enjoyed that.
I have to say that I don't think I ever realized how much work it was going to be, but I am grateful for EVERY minute. My heart goes out to all the other mothers that do this everyday! Moms are the greatest. Dads too!!! Shane has been having a blast being a dad. I always knew that we was going to be great, but he sure has passed all my expectaions. I will keep the pictures coming.

Wow! I can't believe how fast this last week has gone by. We have had a fun time with our new little girl. We have spent most of our days sleeping and watching her sleep. She is a good little baby. Shane is such a great daddy. She already has him wrapped around his finger. I even think that he has changed more diapers than me.

My younger brother Ryan and his wife Megan had a baby a week before we had Avree. They are going to be such great friends. Avree looks so much bigger than her cousin Eva.

Welcome to the world Avree Elizabeth Webb! Born June 4th at 4:21 AM. 7lbs 8oz. 20 inches long. We had a good delivery minus having to have the epideral placed 3 times and pushing for and hour and a half. But not too bad. We love her so much and think that there is no cuter baby in the world. Shane was so great during the pregnancy and the delivery! We are so exited to have this new addition to our family. We sure have been waiting a long time for her and feel that she is a great blessing from our Heavenly Father.

We have been having some fun times these past few weeks. Shane and I just celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary. It's crazy how fast time flies. We sure have had a blast these last 5 years. We spent a few days together. We didn't go stay anywhere, but we stayed home and did some fun things. On Sunday we went for a ride through the canyon and had a picnic at Pine View. It was a fun day. Monday we went to cafe rio for lunch (one of our favs) and saw 2 movies, State of Play, and Wolverine. Both were good movies. Tuesday we went and looked at some anniversary bands. We went to lunch at Spanky's ( one of our favs). Wednesday we cleaned out the garage and got the anniversary band that we liked ( thanks honey). Oh and we may have gone to Spanky's for lunch again... We sure had some fun times together.
We also had my first baby shower, which was a lot of fun. Thanks to all the people that helped and that came to show their love and support. The baby got lots of great things. Thanks again everyone.

I have not posted anything for a little while so I thought that I would do a quick update of things that we have been up to. Things with the pregnancy have been going great. I have no complaints. We just had our 28 week appointment last week and everything looks great. The baby is growing and doing what she needs to. We have been getting her nursery ready. We just have a couple of more things to do and it will be done. People have been asking us about names for the baby. Right now she will either be Avree or Ellie. We have not really decided and for all I know she might be named something totally different, so we will see.
We just got back from a quick little weekend trip to my sister-in-law Cheyanne's family cabin. The boys did some snowmobiling on Friday and Saturday. We had lots of fun.

American Idol

So I love American Idol. I have been a religious watcher ever since season 1. But after watching Idol Wed. night I was a little upset. can you believe that the judges put that Norman Gentle guy, that annoying Tatiana person, and that guy with the red pants through?!!!? It really bugs that the judges put some people through just for the ratings! They cut a lot of good people that seemed like they should have been put through to the next round. Of course I will continue to watch, but if those people stay on very long it's going to be one frustrating season. It will be like Sanjaya all over again.

A couple of weekends ago we went on a little weekend trip with some of the Webb family up to Alpine, Wyoming. We went snowmobiling ( I didn't, but everyone else did). We have been going up there for about 5 years now. Its so beautiful. We also went on a drive to Jackson Hole and the Tetons. It's fun to be around family.

We had our appointment last week. Everything looks really good. The baby is growing and is starting to really kick and move a lot. I have been feeling great. Not one complaint from me. We are getting very excited. June just seems too far away. Some names that we are thinking are Avery, Rylee, or Sydney. Let us know what you all think. I will keep you all updated.

GIRL!!! We found out last week that we are having a girl. The Dr. said that he was 99% sure that it was a girl. Shane was in a bit of denial when we found out, but I think that he is getting use to the idea now. We are both very excited. I am staring to feel really good. Just barely staring to show the baby bump, but its there. I will keep everyong posted with what is going on.

Oh Christmas Tree...

We decided this year, since we did not have a Christmas tree last year, that we would make up for it this year. We have really high vaulted celings in our house and wanted to get a tall tree. Shane, myself, Brett and Chey went to North Pole Pines in Farr West to get our tree. It's a place where you can just cut down your own tree. We lucked out because all of the trees that were over 10 feet were only $25. So we set out to find the tallest one there. We were pretty happy with our tree.

Well the tree happened to be pretty tall. It was just over 12.5 feet. The trees sure don't look as big outside as they do in the house. It was fun trying to get that tree into the house, but it was all worth it. We will see if we ever get such a big tree again, but we sure made some good memories this year getting it.

Baby update

I have had some requests to post some stuff about the baby and myself. I have been a bit of a slacker. I am at work now but will post some new pictures shortly. I have been feeling so so much better lately. Hopefully no more morning sickness. (keep your fingers crossed) I am at 14 weeks now, so into the second trimester. Time seems to be flying by but when I think that the baby is due in June, that just seems so far away. Thanks to everyone for their love and support that they have shown to us. TWILIGHT

I went and saw the Twilight movie the other day and I absolutly LOVED it. I am a huge fan of the books. I was so excited after seeing the movie how close it was to the book. I thought that the actors did a great job. I have been a fan of Robert Pattinson (Edward) since he was cast. He is so good looking in this movie, He was a perfect Edward. I would recommend to everyone that liked the books to see this movie.

Shane and I went to the Jazz game last night. They played Denver and they won! We love to go to the Jazz games. Go Jazz!!!

Last week we carved pumpkins with my family. Mine is the pirate ship pumpkin. After we carved the pumpkins we went over the the pumpkin walk in Syracuse. It was fun, but the line was way too long. We had our annual Webb family Halloween party last week as well. Shane was a shooting star and I was a comet. Very homemade this year. We had fun!!!

8 Weeks

I am so bad at posting new things... Here is the ultrasound picture (upsidedown) from our appointment we had last week. The dr said that everything looks great. We were able to hear the heartbeat for the first time. That was really exciting. I have been sick, which has not been fun. It is pretty much in the morning, and usually goes away after lunch time. So not too bad. My next appointment is in 3 weeks. So I will keep everyine updated.

My mom is going to kill me for posting this... but it is so funny and sweet that I thought everyone would enjoy it. We wanted to get my Mom on video when we told her that we were pregnant, so this is how it played out. Shane and I went over to my parents house to watch the BYU game. At halftime I told my mom that I had some pictures that I forgot to show her. So Shane got out the video camera on his phone to record my mom without her knowing... So I handed her the ultrasound pictures... and this was the response. ( its kindof hard to hear in the video but she asks "Are you pregnant?" and I say "yes")

Well... after almost 2 years of trying to have a baby... Shane and I are very proud to announce that we are FINALLY having a BABY!!! We are so excited. I feel so blessed in our lives right now. Thank you to everyone for your prayers. For those of you that do not know, I had surgery to remove some endometreiosis in July of this year, and we got pregnant in Aug. I am 7 weeks along. And we are due on June 4. ( that just seems like a long ways away.) I had my first Dr. appointment last week and he said that everything looks really good. Yeah!!! We will keep everyone updated with the progress of our new little one.

So Monday nights have become one of our favorite nights of the week. Why? Because Heros and Prison Break is on. We love those shows. We get so into them its funny. We talk about them all week long and can't wait to see what happens next. I love the shows because they are really good and also because of Peter Petrelli and Michael Schofield. So cute!! If any of you share the obsession with us let me know. Yeah for Mondays!!!

Where a Kid can be a Kid!

So Chuck E Cheese just opened up in Layton. My parents, my brothers and their wives, and Shane and I all went the other night. That's right a binch of adults went to Chuck E Cheese. Let me tell you, we had a BLAST!! They did not have the characters that came out of the wall and sang songs, which was kindof diapponting. Instead they have new high-tech entertainment. Eh... I liked the old characters that came out of the wall. The best part was that they had so many games and they all took only one token. I hate when you go to an arcade and want to play games, but all the games take 2 or more tokens. So we loved that about Chuck E Cheese. I would recommend it to everyone. Your kids will love it. My only suggestion is maybe to wait a couple of weeks to go because it was packed when we went.

The Beatles

My sister-in-law works for the Utah Symphony. She got my family some tickets to the Deer Valley music festival. We went and saw this Beatles cover band. They were so good. They talked like them, dressed like them, sang like them... It was so fun. The only bad part ( and it was a bad part) was that it poured. It was raining so bad. It finally stopped raining during the last song. We did not have an umbrella because it was nothing but blue skies at home, so there was 7 of us trying to huddle under this one blanket. Other that the stupid rain, it was so fun.

Breaking Dawn

These pictures are from the midnight release party for Breaking Dawn. It was at Barnes and Noble in Layton. It was fun, but there was alot of people there. Someone said that there was over 2000 people there. Yes... I am a little crazy. But I love things like this. One of my favorite days in the year is the day after thanksgiving. Waking up so early and standing in line in the freezing cold just to get a deal... I just love a crowd. I waited in line for a few hours, finally got my book at about 12:30, not too bad. I read it while at Lake Powell. At first reading the book I was not sure about the storyline, but when I was finished I absolutly loved it. I loved how it finished up. My favorite part was the last 2 pages. Now I can't wait for the movie to come out. I will probably be in line for that too.

Rise and Shout!!!!

Ok... So I am going through pictures and there are a few that I have not posted. So... anyway. Shane and I got season tickets to BYU football. We have had so much fun going to the games. These pictures are from the blowout BYU vs UCLA. The score was 59 to 0. It was so fun being there. Shane is a huge BYU fan ( well lets just say he is a big football fan in general.) GO COUGARS!!!

Flaming Gorge

I was going through pictures on the computer and noticed that I never posted any pictures from our trip to Flaming Gorge. It was in July. We had so much fun.... We always do. It was beautiful there. We had some great water for skiing. Almost too much good water than some of it went to waste because we were all tired from skiing too much. I love going to flaming gorge. It does not take that long to get there, lots of family come, and there are some pretty clean bathrooms at the campground. The only thing that I do not like is that the water is so so so cold. Oh well, small price to pay for having fun.

Lake Powell

We went on yet another trip this year. This should be the last vacation though. We went to Lake Powell the first week of August. We had a blast!! We went with Shane's family. It was so great to spen time with our neices too. They are so cute. We miss them and hope they move back to Utah soon. The weather was perfect. If it could only be cooler at night than it would be ideal, but oh well. We would have been able to go a little longer but we had to leave a couple days later because Breaking Dawn was coming out. So I had to wait to leave so that I could get the book. I'm glad I did cause it was nice to have something to read on the long drive to and from Lake Powell. I am grateful that I have a great husband that was willing to miss out on a few days of the trip so that I could get the book. He is the greatest!!

Grey's River

We went on a little trip up the the Grey's River. Shane and I got up there on Wed. night. The next day we went to Jackson Hole. ( Well we just drove through). We went to the Tetons to go hike up to Jenny's Lake. I have never been there before, it was so beautiful. After hiking to Jenny's Lake we went with Allen and Debbie to the Bar J Wraglers. They reallt put on a good show. The next 2 days were spent 4-wheeling around the grey's river. There were tons of wildflowers around. It was so beautiful! We saw lots of wildlife (no bears though... I really wanted to see one). We had lots of fun! Our next trip is to flaming gorge in a couple of weeks.

Las Vegas

We went to Las Vegas this year for a 4 year anniversary. I can't beleive that we have been married for 4 years... It seems like a lot longer than that. We had a blast. Shane surprised me with tickets to see Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian. I was so excited. The tickets were even for the same weekend as the supercross final. ( what a couincidence!?!) We stayed the first night in Mesquite, where Shane won 150$ playing Bingo!! He put all those old ladies to shame. We went to the Supercross the mext day. It was alot of fun. We were even lucky enough to go boating at Lake Mead with Mason and Jodi and the girls. It was a blast getting to spend some time with them. Their new boat is awesome, even with the water being so choppy is was still a pretty smooth ride. The next day we went to see Phantom. It was AWESOME!!! I had never been to anything like that. We had such a great time.

We finally finished our yard!!! After a lot of hard work. Thanks to all of our family members that helped. It was a long, hot process to get it done. We put in the sprinklers and layed the sod last year. We just finished planting some trees, bushes and flowers. Shane is havning a blast mowing the lawn twice a week. I think he is so proud. He should be, the lawn looks great!!!
